Description

Industrial Stainless Steel Filter Cartridges / Pleated Filter Elements/ Stainless Steel Filter Tube

Product Overview

Our Stainless Steel Filter Cartridges are high-performance filtration solutions engineered for demanding industrial environments. Constructed entirely from high-quality sintered wire mesh or multi-layer woven mesh, these rigid cylindrical filters offer exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and thermal stability. Designed for backwashing and long service life, they are the ideal choice for replacing disposable paper or polymer filters in continuous processes.

Material

Filter Media: SS 304, SS 316, SS 316L (Multi-layer sintered mesh or Dutch weave wire cloth).

Support Layers: Perforated Stainless Steel cylinder (inner/outer cage for drainage and strength).

End Caps & Seals: Stainless Steel (304/316L) with options for Viton®, Buna-N, or EPDM gaskets/o-rings.

Specifications

Our filter cartridges are precision-welded and available in standard industry dimensions, as well as full customizations:

Standard Lengths: 5", 10", 20", 30", 40", 50" (custom lengths available).

Outer Diameter: Standard 2.5" (60mm), 6" (150mm), or custom sizes.

Filtration Rating: 1 micron to 1000 microns (absolute filtration).

Structure Types:

• Pleated: High surface area for high flow rates.

• Single Layer Mesh: For simple straining applications.

• Sintered Multi-Layer: For high strength and depth filtration.

End Cap Connections: DOE (Double Open End), 222/Flat, 226/Fin, or NPT/BSP threads.

Key Features

100% Stainless Steel Construction: Fully cleanable, reusable, and recyclable.

High Mechanical Strength: Withstands high differential pressures without collapsing.

Broad Chemical Compatibility: Resistant to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents.

High Temperature Resistance: Operates effectively up to 500°C (depending on gasket material).

Uniform Pore Structure: Ensures consistent filtration efficiency and particle retention.

Applications

These robust filter elements are critical components in high-temperature and high-corrosion processes:

Petrochemical Industry: Filtration of refined oil, natural gas, and polymers.

Water Treatment: Pre-filtration for RO systems, seawater desalination, and hot water injection.

Food & Beverage: Filtration of cooking oils, juices, beer, and process water (meets sanitary standards).

Pharmaceuticals: Filtration of active ingredients, solvents, and steam.

Electronics: Filtration of ultra-pure water and etching chemicals.

Power Generation: Filtration in cooling systems and gas turbine protection.

Packaging & Shipping

Cleaning: Each cartridge is chemically cleaned, rinsed with deionized water, and dried to remove manufacturing residues.

Protection: Ends are capped with soft plastic plugs to protect threads and seals. The element is then sealed in a vacuum or poly bag.

Outer Packaging: Packed in reinforced cardboard tubes or wooden boxes to prevent bending or denting during transit.

Shipping Methods:

• Express: DHL, FedEx, UPS (samples and urgent small orders).

• Air Freight: Time-sensitive international shipments.

• Sea Freight: Cost-effective solution for bulk orders (FCL / LCL).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What is the difference between a pleated and a sintered filter cartridge?

A: A pleated cartridge uses folded mesh to maximize surface area, ideal for high flow rates in low-viscosity fluids. A sintered cartridge is made by bonding multiple mesh layers under heat and pressure, creating a stronger, more rigid structure perfect for high-pressure and high-viscosity applications like polymer filtration.

Q2: How do I clean and reuse these stainless steel filters?

A: Cleaning methods depend on the contaminant. Common methods include:
Backflushing: Reversing the flow to dislodge particles.
Ultrasonic Cleaning: For fine particle removal.
Chemical Cleaning: Soaking in suitable solvents or acids to dissolve residues.
Thermal Cleaning: Heating in an oven to burn off organic contaminants.

Q3: Can these cartridges be used for high-temperature steam?

A: Yes, if the filter body is all-welded stainless steel and the gaskets are removed or replaced with metal seals. Please specify the temperature requirements so we can ensure the correct materials are used.

Q4: What micron rating do you recommend for hydraulic systems?

A: For standard industrial hydraulics, a 10µ or 25µ absolute rating is common. For servo-valve systems, a finer 3µ to 6µ rating is required. We recommend checking your system's component requirements.

Q5: Do you provide certificates of quality?

A: Yes. We can provide Material Test Certificates (Mill Certificates) for the stainless steel, as well as Bubble Point Test Reports to verify the pore size integrity upon request.
