Dutch Weave Stainless Steel Wire Mesh
Details
High Precision Filtration: The wedge-wire construction captures particles of a specific micron size on the surface, providing "surface-type" filtration with high accuracy.
Excellent Flow Rate: Despite the fine filtration, the structure allows for a high flow rate and low pressure drop.
Superior Strength: The thick warp wires and dense weft packing create a mesh with high tensile strength and rigidity, capable of withstanding high-pressure differentials.

Product Introduction: Stainless Steel Dutch Wire Mesh (Stainless Steel Dutch Weave Mesh)

Product Overview

Stainless Steel Dutch Wire Mesh, also known as Stainless Steel Dutch Weave or Filter Cloth, is a specialized filtration medium. Unlike standard square mesh, it is characterized by a significant contrast in the diameter and density of warp (lengthwise) and weft (crosswise) wires. This unique structure creates a wedge-shaped or tapered aperture, allowing for high-precision filtration and increased mechanical strength that standard square mesh cannot achieve. It is often referred to as "Dutch Weave" or "Hollyand Cloth" in international markets.

Material (Stainless Steel Grades)

We offer Dutch weave mesh in a variety of high-quality stainless steel grades to suit different environmental and chemical requirements:

Standard Grades: SUS304, SUS304L.

Marine & Chemical Grades: SUS316, SUS316L (offering superior corrosion resistance).

Other Options: SUS302, SUS310, SUS430, and specialized alloys are also available upon request.

Specifications

Our Dutch weave mesh is available in two primary weaving patterns: Plain Dutch Weave and Twill Dutch Weave.

Weave Types:

• Plain Dutch Weave: Warp wires are larger in diameter than weft wires, woven in a simple 1/1 pattern. Weft wires are packed tightly together, resulting in "zero" visible apertures and a smooth surface.

• Twill Dutch Weave: Woven in an over-two, under-two pattern. This allows for even finer filtration rates and a more robust, durable cloth compared to plain weave.

Mesh Range:

• Plain Dutch Weave: Ranging from coarse grades like 8 x 62 mesh to fine grades like 80 x 800 mesh.

• Twill Dutch Weave: Ranging from medium grades like 325 x 2300 mesh to ultra-fine grades up to 400 x 3100 mesh.

Standard Roll Size: Width 1.0m - 1.6m, Length 15m - 30m (custom sizes available).

Key Features

High Precision Filtration: The wedge-wire construction captures particles of a specific micron size on the surface, providing "surface-type" filtration with high accuracy.

Excellent Flow Rate: Despite the fine filtration, the structure allows for a high flow rate and low pressure drop.

Superior Strength: The thick warp wires and dense weft packing create a mesh with high tensile strength and rigidity, capable of withstanding high-pressure differentials.

Corrosion & Heat Resistance: Stainless steel construction ensures excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and high temperatures, making it suitable for harsh environments.

Long Service Life: The robust structure resists abrasion and "blinding," offering a longer lifespan than standard filter cloths.

Product Display

Our stainless steel Dutch wire mesh is typically supplied in rolls, cut pieces, or slit strips.

Surface

Clean, flat, and free of oil stains or defects.

Edges

Trimmed edges or selvedge edges to maintain integrity.

Customization

Available in cut-to-size sheets, die-cut gaskets, or slit ribbons for filter elements.

Applications

Due to its unique filtration properties, this mesh is widely used in various industries:

Chemical & Petrochemical: Used in catalyst recovery, reactor screens, and filter elements for refining processes.

Polymer & Extrusion: Essential in plastic extrusion machines (blown film, cast film, pelletizing) as breaker plates and filter packs to remove contaminants from melts.

Aerospace & Hydraulics: Filtration of hydraulic fluids, fuels, and lubricants in precision pressure filters.

Pharmaceutical & Food: Separation and filtration of syrups, juices, and pharmaceutical liquids.

Water Treatment: Used in wedge wire screens for sewage treatment and water purification systems.

Packaging & Shipping

Proper packaging ensures the product arrives in perfect condition.

image021

Inner Packaging

The mesh is rolled around a strong paper tube to prevent creasing. It is then wrapped with waterproof paper or plastic film to protect against moisture.

Outer Packaging

Securely packed in free-standing, fumigated wooden crates or plywood pallets suitable for sea and air freight.

Shipping Methods

By Sea: For bulk orders (FCL or LCL).

By Air: For urgent or high-value orders.

By Express: For samples or small orders (DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT).

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q1: What is the difference between Plain Dutch and Twill Dutch Weave?

A: In Plain Dutch Weave, weft wires are woven singly (over one, under one) but packed very tight. In Twill Dutch Weave, weft wires are woven in an "over two, under two" pattern. Twill Dutch allows for the use of finer weft wires, resulting in smaller pore sizes and a smoother surface, generally used for finer filtration.

Q2: Can you provide material certification?

A: Yes, we can provide Mill Test Certificates (MTC) according to EN 10204 3.1, verifying the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the stainless steel used.

Q3: What is the "absolute filtration rating" of this mesh?

A: The filtration rating varies by specific weave. For example, a 24x110 mesh has an aperture around 115-125 microns, while a 200x1400 mesh can filter down to approximately 10-16 microns. Please refer to our detailed spec sheet for Beta Ratios.

Q4: Do you offer samples?

A: Yes, we offer free samples for quality testing. The customer only needs to cover the shipping cost.

Q5: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

A: Our MOQ is typically 1 roll or 10 square meters for standard specifications, but we accept smaller trial orders to help you test our quality.
