A: Pure copper does not "rust" (iron oxide). It naturally develops a greenish-brown patina over time when exposed to air and moisture. This patina is protective and prevents further corrosion. For applications requiring maintained brightness, brass or coated copper options are available.

Q2: How do I prevent copper mesh from tarnishing?

A: For indoor applications, standard copper will maintain its color longer. To preserve the original reddish finish, we recommend applying a clear lacquer coating after installation, or choosing our pre-coated/anti-tarnish treated copper mesh.

Q3: What is the difference between plain weave and twill weave?

A: Plain weave (over-one-under-one) provides maximum stability and is suitable for most filtration applications. Twill weave (over-two-under-two) allows for a higher mesh count with the same wire diameter, offering finer filtration with greater strength and flexibility.
