Commercially available window screens are expensive and vary greatly in quality; cheap ones are easily chewed by mice, while expensive ones are prohibitive. So, I had a brilliant idea: I made a mouse-proof window using a barbecue grill.
Because the window gaps were small, I bought edge banding, but it wasn't actually useful. There was no support in the middle of the left side, so mice could still squeeze in if they tried. However, I used transparent tape to attach a strip, making it more secure. The rest was secured with cable ties.
I bought four grilles, costing about 70 yuan in total. Although I wanted to save money, the barbecue grill had to be of good quality to truly prevent mice from biting.
This homemade mouse-proof window is not only sturdy and durable but also effectively prevents mice from gnawing on it-truly economical and practical.
