Laminated Glass Decorative Wire Mesh

Product Overview

Laminated Glass Decorative Wire Mesh is a high-end architectural material that combines the safety and durability of laminated glass with the aesthetic appeal of metal mesh. The wire mesh is embedded between two or more layers of glass, bonded together by a strong interlayer (usually PVB or EVA). This product offers privacy, security, and artistic expression without compromising natural light transmission.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Is the wire mesh inside the glass sharp? Can I touch it?

A: No. The mesh is completely sealed and encapsulated within the PVB/EVA interlayer. The surface of the glass is smooth and safe to touch, with no exposed metal edges.

Q2: Can this product be used as a safety or security glass?

A: Yes. To enhance security, the glass panels are usually tempered before lamination. The combination of tempering and the embedded mesh makes the panel highly resistant to impact. In the event of breakage, the glass adheres to the mesh, preventing dangerous shards from falling.

Q3: How do I clean it?

A: Clean it just like standard glass. Use a soft cloth and standard non-abrasive glass cleaner or mild soapy water. Avoid hard brushes that could scratch the surface. The embedded mesh requires no maintenance.

Q4: Can I cut the glass on-site?

A: No. This is a fabricated product. Once the glass is laminated with the mesh, it cannot be cut or drilled on-site without risking delamination or breakage. All holes and cutouts must be specified and machined during manufacturing.

Q5: Does the metal mesh rust over time?

A: It depends on the material chosen. Stainless Steel (SS304/SS316) and Brass are highly corrosion-resistant and suitable for humid environments like bathrooms. Standard iron or non-coated steel may corrode if moisture penetrates the edges. We recommend sealing the edges with silicone during installation for longevity.
